A classic for lovers of jazz, traditional, one of the most played pieces of saxophonist Charlie Parker.
Donna Lee is a standard jazz bebop in Ab based on the harmonic structure of Back home again in Indiana.
Time is very tight, then I suggest you study it before a nice little 'slower and make sure the good feeling "SWING" .... that's what counts!
For the ' improvisation there are several things to say, try to work a lot on the arpeggios of the chords, the scale of major and minor modal.
We say that a lot of study to those already familiar with these topics.
Here is the theme and improvisation performed by our Rozza .... Simon to follow the base on which to practice.

How is the Real Book version (the one above), there is the version OmniBook that is one octave above. My teacher tells me that, since the guitar is an instrument "transposing" the correct version is the OmniBook.
Only on YouTube that I have not found a single version of "à la" OmniBook.
How are things?

To correct the score should have the key for guitar and violin in a small "8" (eight).
Indicates that the guitar is a transposing instrument of 1 octave lower than what you read.
By convention and convenience, we omit this symbol, plus this is a transcript of the song. NOT the version for guitar. However, being 1 octave transposer adaptation "on the fly" to the guitar by the reader is immediate.
After all you can play it as you see fit, will still be correct.
